Delivering a Premium Technical Production Experience for Exxaro at Farm Inn, Pretoria

M Productions recently had the privilege of supporting a high-level corporate event for Exxaro, hosted at the well-known Farm Inn and managed by Zeal Management. This exclusive gathering brought together the full Exxaro executive committee, creating an environment that demanded both precision and excellence across every technical element.

From the outset, the objective was clear: deliver a seamless, premium technical production that would match the calibre of the audience and the significance of the occasion. M Productions was responsible for the full technical scope, including stage design, audio reinforcement, and visual display integration.

A standout feature of the production was the custom-built 22-metre-wide stage, designed to anchor the entire event space. The stage was complemented by a large-format LED screen setup, providing a visually immersive platform for presentations, brand content, and live moments. The scale and layout were carefully engineered to ensure maximum visibility and impact from every angle within the venue.

Audio presented a unique challenge due to the architectural characteristics of the venue. With extensive glass surfaces throughout the space, controlling reflections and maintaining speech intelligibility required a considered approach. To address this, we deployed a JBL SRX line array system, supported by a strategically positioned delay system. This ensured consistent, clear audio coverage across the entire audience area, without excessive volume or echo.

Entertainment for the evening was led by the acclaimed Emo Adams, whose performance added energy and personality to the event. The technical setup allowed for a smooth transition between formal proceedings and live entertainment, maintaining a professional yet engaging atmosphere throughout.
